yesterday was laurens birthday, couldnt post it due to "read-only mode." what is livejournal? useless thats what. so now im going to get a real journal, with lineless paper and use a devise thats called a pen. ill call it deadjournal or something. now im free to draw my artistic thoughts instead of pasting pictures that resemble art when taken randomly. we all could use a little less.

A Spoon Story

Part I

We head out to dallas to begin the journey

We dressed our best, lauren looked handsome as always

To be fully prepared, we jam the ipod

Lauren is a lovely singer, or wait is it Kristin? im so confused

Of course we had to stop by Laurens boyfriends place so he could meet the kin

We finally arrived

Anxious to see the best band known to man, we wait

Who do we see pull up? Only the best band known to man.

Let it begin...

Sadly i didn't get any pictures of Jim, but when there's a will there's a way

After the show, Kristin, Lauren, and I wait to meet our idols. Our first delighted encounter was This Microwave World.

Suddenly a man by the name of Jeff B-y-r-d approaches us unexpectedly. After a deep conversation of Spoon talk, we discover he is their roadie. Jeff so kindly invited us to Spoons show in Austin the next day. We were skeptical at first, but once we pondered for 5 seconds, we decided we had to see the best band known to man again. We walk around some more, in search of the Gods. Suddenly, no other than Jim the drummer signals us to the stage. He gives us a drum stick each, as a token. We then wait outside for the others, and up approaches Britt, we make immediate eye contact and give each other the biggest bear hugs ever. Then out of the doors of Trees come about 5 drunk girls that attack Britt. Unable to rescue him, we say goodbye, but not a permanent goodbye.

Part II

Spoon Overload sets in

It was a measly 3 hour car ride

We roam down 6th Street to find the sanctuary of our Gods...

We were overwhelmed

There they were, the holy instruments

The only one good thing out of the first two bands were the shoes

and Viva la'America Death Ray drummer

Once again, we were in the presence of the best band known to man

Now to once again meet up with Spoon after the show, but not for the last time
